THE PILLOW FIGHT LEAGUE presents
AGILE, HOSTILE & MOBILE: PFL TOUR 2010!
The East Coast of Canada will be ON FIRE this fall, as Canada's own, world-famous Pillow Fight League hits the road on their first ever tour!
"Ever since I created the League in 2005, I've been waiting to take the PFL on the road," says PFL Commissioner Stacey P. Case. "The current League roster features the best, most entertaining and competitive fighters in our history. This fall, from Hamilton to Halifax, the PFL gets to do what it does best - provide exciting, intense, entertaining fight action to a whole new audience of Canadian women and men!"
If you think you know what pillow fighting is - well, guess again! The fighters in the League have taken elements from other fight sports - the intensity of MMA, the pageantry and theatrics of pro wrestling - and, by adding pillows and training up to three nights a week, they have created a truly unique, new and exciting fight sport. Fights are three 2-minute rounds, tag teams are three 3-minute rounds, with various ways to decisively win in the time allotted. If a fight goes the distance, a panel of three judges chooses a winner, using various judging criteria. Almost anything goes in a PFL pillow fight! Fighters may strike, apply submission holds, and execute takedowns - as long as there is a pillow at the point of contact. Illegal moves and holds may result in warnings from the ref, point deductions from the judges, and even disqualifications!
"The best part of performing in front of a new audience that has never seen the PFL before, is watching everyone's jaws drop ten seconds into the first fight," says League announcer Dan 'The Mouth' Lovranski. "Let's be honest - they're probably not expecting much, right? And that's the key right there. Right out of the gate, the women in the League surpass everyone's expectations, because their dedication to training, the attention paid to their personas, their outfits, their custom moves, their trash talking...it is all so apparent once someone comes to see our incredible show, that the PFL is the real deal."
MAIN EVENT: Charley Davidson VS Apocalipstick EVERY NIGHT of the tour! Whoever finishes the tour with the most wins over the other, becomes the next PFL #1 Contender to the World Title, currently strapped around PFL World Champion Dinah Mite's waist!
Charley Davidson, a former PFL World Champion, wants to be a two-time champ, and she had this to say about Apocalipstick, the woman standing in her way.
"Having not just one, but eight chances on this tour to beat some sane into that escaped mental patient, is more that any one girl deserves. And believe me, I will take every opportunity that I can to show that cheating, deranged bitch who is boss. That, AND the shot at fighting Dinah Mite to get back the Word Title belt that was robbed from me, well...if I celebrated Christmas I'd say it's going to come early this year."
"Escaped mental patient?" said Apocalipstick in response. "Charley, Charley, Charley, you have no idea. We're just getting started. You think you can beat sanity into me? You don't even come close to having that kind of ability. What we've got here is eight chances for me to shut your whiney mouth about how you were robbed of the belt....and eight chances to teach you what insane really is. It's going to be a long tour for you, Charley Davidson. If I were you, I'd be sleeping with one eye open."
PFL World Champion Dinah Mite weighed in with this reply to both fighters.
"Ladies, may the best woman win. Both of you are League veterans, and both of you deserve a shot at my world title. Neither of you will be getting it, though - I'm not letting it go any time soon..."
